Task description 

The scope of services includes the following tasks, which are performed independently:

1.   Carry out interviews with nominated participants from the brainstorming workshop to check if all questions posed and ideas developed in the workshop are understood correctly. The participants to be interviewed will be named by the Head of Asset Performance Management. Hold in person meetings with nominated site personnel and MS Teams meetings with other nominated persons.
2.   Carry out a desktop evaluation of the ideas developed in a brainstorming workshop in late 2021. The ideas vary from using alternative fuels to implementing a new form of cooling to complement the existing system to changing the ramp rate of a unit.
3.   Identify other ways that Uniper could create further value, in addition to the ideas created in the workshop based on own experience and/or research carried out as part of this project. The ideas can be different ways to realize the same benefit as the ideas developed in the workshop or they can address new opportunities or problems identified through desktop research or interviews. Present the developed ideas to the Head of Asset Performance Management for review and make changes if requested prior to evaluating the ideas in more detail.
4.   Confirm the feasibility of any technical assumptions used in the desktop study through in person interviews with site personnel of the plant in Bavaria. Confirm the feasibility of commercial assumptions used in the desktop study through MS Teams interviews with personnel based in other Uniper locations. Revise assumptions if required based on findings from the interviews. Through the course of the project an estimated 1-3 interviews, each lasting 1-3 hours for different Uniper specialists varying from maintenance, plant performance and operation, market assumptions, grid services etc. based on a list provided by Uniper.
5.   A final presentation to the Plant Management Team and the Head of Asset Performance Management outlining the evaluation of each idea and a recommendation outlining which ideas Uniper should pursue and why. Provide the presentation material first to the Head of Asset Performance Management and revise it based on their input prior to finalization and subsequent presentation. Include the following in the presentation material:
A.   Technical and commercial assumptions used
B.   Commercial evaluations of each idea developed based on
1.   Overall estimated cash flow impact, broken down by;
a.   Estimated changes to revenues and costs 
b.   Estimated changes to controllable costs 
c.   Estimated changes to capital expenses
2.   Market conditions which would support the operational change or investment
3.   Key commercial risks
C.   Technical feasibility of each idea developed
a.   Key technical assumptions to be confirmed in a follow-up project
b.   
c.   Main technical risks to be assessed in more detail in a follow-up project
