Civil Engineer (Site)

Task description

The scope of services includes the following tasks, which are performed independently:

-   Conduct an analysis of potential claims and the development of mitigation strategies for the construction of the H255 CHP power plant. Consult the Project Management Team, engineering and site management in evaluating the results of the conducted analysis.

-   Compare drawings and reports from the design and planning of the power plant with built condition and contract requirements by capturing deviations, quality issues and analyzing the construction site. The contracts will be ordered for the construction execution companies. The drawings and the ordering contract for the construction execution companies already exist and will be provided by the project team. The information about the built condition and contract requirements comes from walking through the construction site.

-   Create related lists (punch lists / LOP Lists) based on the previous comparison and present it to Uniper for a sign off.

-   Create documentation with potential risks for quality, time and cost which will be communicated to the project team with excel/word reports. Present the results to Uniper in project meetings.

-   Develop invoice checks for construction site related construction execution works based on contract and based on the comparison above (Bauabrechnung). The information about the invoice checks will be provided by the project team.

-   Coordinate communication with relevant suppliers about the correction of the construction execution, further documentation of the claim, rejection of the claim, request for bill correction, acceptance of bill, acceptance of work deviation or recommend Uniper to claim. This will be done by email, phone and meetings.

-   Consult the project management team in day-to-day technical and commercial tasks by status quo; daily quality issues and technical deviations, contract and claim management, risk management (the further responsibility and evaluation and overall risk management lies at the project team), invoice handling and checking. The relevant information and actions taken in the past will be provided by the team on the construction site.

-   Consult the project manager / construction manager in the invoicing process that is used from the construction company (Bauabrechnung). The information about the invoicing is connected to the invoice checks beforehand.

-   Compare materials on site with order and the delivery documents in SAP. The materials will be provided by the project team.

-   Create documentation with the results and present it in the project meetings so that the Project Team can proceed with the further actions.

Uniper provides all necessary information, access to the systems and requirements in advance. Used tools will be Office (Excel, PPT), Teams, Outlook and PDF.
