Data architecture solutions design

Task: The scope of services includes the following tasks, which are independently performed by the external consultant:

- Be a contact for the Data Design team (internal/external) to give guidance on Data architecture design options and best practices (software design, ETL, SQL DB) to development and operations teams. Depending on the Backlog prioritization the consultant will give guidance on design options and best practices

- Promote use of agreed collaboration tools (wiki) in showcase meetings and make users aware of those and how to use those

- Identify patterns in incoming change requests and suggest re-useable solutions. Used tools are Azure Dev Ops from MS and mails. The content of the change requests will be desired changes of a business process which will provoke architecture changes. The consultant will suggest the re-usable solutions to Developers, to other architects within Uniper

- Perform design reviews for changes in the ERP DWH platform. The consultant validate changes in regard to the existing Data architect framework

- Perform implementation reviews for deliveries on the ERP DWH platform (code & documentation/process standards) depending on the backlog items

- Assess criticality of hotfix changes in dependence of the involved data and data landscape. Consultancy of the Data Design Department and Data Delivery team on this. The results of the assessment will be used from Delivery teams

- Set data architecture principles and develop Data architecture elements/guidance of Data platforms and describe the principle and enable others how to follow those

- Define "data driven" solutions based on the investigation & Assessments

- Empower delivery teams to follow Data Architecture principles

- Perform Data design reviews for changes on Uniper DWH platform

- Perform implementation reviews for deliveries on the DWH platform (code & documentation/process standards)

- Assess criticality of hotfix changes in regard to the Data Architecture

- Assessment of new solution options, this may include own prototyping activities for future data technology options. The content of the new solution options is the Description of Data architecture for these further options. Consultancy of the Data Design Department and Data Delivery team on this.
