Task description

 

The scope of services includes the following tasks, which are independently performed by the external consultant:

- Advise Uniper on improving the processes within the Commercial team and towards the interfaces of the Commercial team (Gas Dispatch, power plants). Uniper provides the relevant information after the exact processes have been identified within the scoping phase. Document and present the improvements to Uniper for a sign-off.

- Prepare and execute the following activities: capture Voice of Business/Process requirements; define value proposition; prioritize objectives; observe the process, visualize and analyze; conduct a gap-analysis between current state process and future state requirements; identify and confirm improvement areas; propose solutions and carry out pilot testing; set up process measurements to monitor improvement, progress and sustainability. The consultant's work will join the overall project presentation. Prepare all material needed for the overall project presentation. Document and present all results to the Commercial team via Teams through a PowerPoint presentation.

- Schedule, prepare and lead OE methodology training and instruction, based on the Uniper OE Standards, to the Power Short-Term Trading & Dispatch employees. The training material for this capability building exists already - available on the OE SharePoint. Given the current COVID-19 situation, all trainings will be done virtually. The participants are the Power Short-Term Trading & Dispatch employees (internals). The frequency of the trainings depends on the Uniper requirements.

- Consult Uniper professionally by driving the OE way of working to increase the awareness, understanding of the Operational Excellence Toolbox and willingness to deploy it. Create proposals/suggestions (throughout workshops, via e-mail) based on the professional experience of the Power Short-Term Trading & Dispatch employees.

- Schedule, prepare, customize (if necessary create new material and present it to the OE project leader for a sign off) and facilitate workshops to the colleagues from the Power Short-Term Trading & Dispatch Team of Uniper based on the detailed project plan which is under construction. Distribute the material used and prepared in the workshops to the colleagues from the Power Short-Term Trading & Dispatch Team of Uniper. Given the current COVID-19 situation, all workshops will be held virtually.

- Define and track action plans in PowerPoint by monitoring the progress and completion of the actions and forwarding on a weekly basis to the OE Project leader. The project team manages the project through work packages/tasks in weekly project team meetings. Review the project timeline on a regular basis in exchange with the Commercial team and adjust it if needed.

Uniper provides all necessary information (documents, contact details), access to the systems (SharePoint) and requirements in advance.
