Senior Manager for Consulting in the area of directory separation/migration and analysis of dependencies

Project Overview

In the light of further achieving technical independence from E.ON, Uniper still needs to resolve several dependencies in the area of directory services (MS Active Directory/Novell eDirectory/ LDAP with the target being AAD, AADDS, and on-prem AD). Uniper needs a consultant with knowledge of the current situation to support with the change of the process for the creation of user accounts, the analysis of application settings and advice on the correct migration to ensure the users’ authentication in the target landing zones. It is also required to analyse technical dependencies on the legacy ADs and provide advice how to resolve them (e.g. GPOs, file service access).

This role is based in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Main Activities & Responsibilities
The tasks include but are not limited to the following:
- Resolving the dependencies to E.ON in the area of directory services to enable the split of the companies for the identity management
- Analyze current FIM dependencies and provide the requirements for replacing FIM with SailPoint
- Resolving dependencies like Logon.exe where alternatives were defined during One2two
- Analysis of legacy Active Directory settings
- Reporting, structuring, strategic advice on the migration of application authentication from Novell eDirectory and legacy Active Directories into new landing zones based on Azure AD and AD
- Alignment of requirements, technical dependencies, and tasks between application enabling, identity management, AD migration
- Provide advice to application managers for onboarding to future landing zones
- Engage with business users and analyse user needs in relation to access methods
- Data mapping and cleansing
- Liaison with application managers regarding authentication requirements and user management
- Managing dependencies of user profiles and application migration
- Define services and establish governance structures around elevated access rights (RBAC)
- Impact analysis and mitigation for application issues before, during and after migration
- Reduce the complexity and OPEX costs
- Consult communication teams to prepare and sign off key communications messages using standard processes
- Consult the Program Manager and PMO on reporting requirements that fit with program governance
- Effective and Efficient management of key stakeholders within Uniper up to and including board level
