Task description - The scope of services includes the following tasks, which are performed independently:

Project description The WAN Transformation project is targeting the upgrade of Uniper’s WAN portfolio. Key part is the deployment of SD-WAN alongside with the addition of decentralized Internet breakouts (fiber-based or mobile/Starlink) as underlays. All locations should have the appropriate amount of bandwidth and network performance.

Planned project duration for the entire project (start/end): The project is already ongoing since 2022. It is expected to end Q1, 2024.

- Analysis of the current WAN portfolio, existing services, and cost for approx. 180 Uniper sites where network services are deployed based on information of the sites and current connections that will be provided by the customer in advance.

- Compile a documentation (ideally PowerBI, but could also be Excel-based) allowing an instant overview of available bandwidth per site (details will be provided by Uniper), average consumption (can be retrieved from existing monitoring systems), and monthly cost per line (will be provided by Uniper) to create an overview. This documentation shows any deficiencies or improvements and enables decisions regarding technical or financial improvements.

- For technical improvements, where bandwidth should be added, evaluate the options based on available providers at the site; request and compare their quotes and present to the Steering Board (online-meeting) for a decision of the best cost-benefit solution based on the results of the analysis, options and quotes offered by the 3rd party providers.

- Store the documentation, results of analyses, quotes and decisions on MS-Teams (provided by Uniper).

- Tracking deployment progress, and presenting the current state to management (Uniper internal Service Owner, Head of Connectivity, IT Managers responsible for power plants and other office locations) and business stakeholders in a monthly, online steering committee meeting. This reporting provides an overview of the results of the analyses, a recommendation of modifications of connections, and the ordering and deployment status. All sites are covered by the analyses and all activities are triggered within the next 12 months, when the project will be closed.

- Monitoring the project budget provided by Uniper and include suggestions of back-to-green measures where applicable in the documentation (Back-to-green may be a re-prioritization of locations based on information from the project steering board, or initiating a change request, where unforeseen reasons caused additional effort).
